ABOUT US

A PLACE OF GROWTH

A PLACE OF GROWTH
The scriptures admonish us to grow in grace and study the Word of God, (II Pet. 3:18, II Tim. 2:15) This is something in which we find great joy and to which we are totally committed. We believe personal growth is not an option, rather, it’s a biblical mandate. It is our desire to provide the resources and environment for solid, steady, spiritual growth.

A PLACE OF WORSHIP
We believe true worship must be in “Spirit” and in “Truth” (John 4:23) Worship is an act of devotion and is essential to developing intimacy with our Father God. Worship must be foundational and a place of preparation for all ministry. We also believe, worship can take many forms of expression and will reflect the personality and giftings of the worshipers.

A PLACE OF BELONGING
Everyone needs to feel that they can be a part of something special and meaningful. We desire for everyone at Church of the Valley to feel that this is their home and that they are a valued member of the family of God. Because we are committed to Christ’s love, acceptance, and forgiveness, everyone here belongs and is encouraged to walk in covenant relationship.

A PLACE OF MINISTRY
Church of the Valley is a place of fellowship based upon a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and one another. Fellowship is encouraged through worship, bible studies, prayer meetings and social gatherings. As we commit to loving one another our relationships grow stronger and more meaningful. We welcome those who God sends us to enjoy a place of wonderful fellowship.

A PLACE OF FELLOWSHIP
Jesus is our healer and His Church is to be a place of healing, (I Pet.2:24). He provides healing for physical, spiritual and emotional needs, (Ex. 15:26, Ps. 147:3). We believe the Church is to be like a hospital where those in need can find healing. God also uses His people to build up one another and to minister gifts of healing to one another, (I Cor. 12:9). We are thankful that we can be a part of God’s healing community.

A PLACE OF HEALING
We have been called by God to be ministers of His grace. (I Cor. 4:1) We believe every member is to have a ministry. (I Cor. 12 :4-11) Therefore, we encourage everyone to find their place of ministry. We also provide opportunities for many types of ministries to be developed. This creates an atmosphere for God to work in and through us resulting in the whole church being built up in the bonds of love. (Eph.4:16)
